An entrepreneur and an investor. In a career spanning over 30 years he has worked with businesses and companies from around the world in diverse areas covering Power, Energy storage, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicles, Engineering Services, KPO, Telecommunications and Energy efficiency. Over the years, he has founded or invested in more than 15 start-up ventures. Currently, he is involved in mentoring entrepreneurs and incubating start-ups. He also devotes time to causes relating to Economic Empowerment, Environment and Health. One of the companies he founded in 2007 – Lectrix Motors Ltd – represents India’s only indigenously developed, integrated, electric two-wheeler technology. The other companies he has founded include Livguard Energy Technologies Pvt Ltd (India’s fastest-growing energy storage company; May 2014); Ncubate Capital Partners (June 2011); Luminous Power Technologies (P) Ltd (June 1988); Livpure Pvt Ltd, formerly Luminous Water Technologies Pvt Ltd (June 2012). Before embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, he worked with NELCO as an Engineer (1983-84) and as Project Engineer with Siemens Energy & Automation (1984-85). He graduated from Jadavpur University in 1983. Later, he attended Harvard Business School in 2012 and Yale School of Management in 2015-2016.
